Love Your Life Ministries was founded in 2008 by Barbara Marshall, a U.S.-based Christian ministry organization. Initially, the ministry focused on outreach to churches and Juvenile Hall. In 2009, following a church sermon, Barbara was invited to host her own TV show. Embracing the opportunity, Love Your LIfe Ministries launched the show .
During this time, she also continued her ministry at Juvenile Hall, leading aerobics classes and conducting small group sessions with the girls. Facing a shift in the prison’s ministry approach, Barbara transitioned her focus. The “Real Deal with Barb” TV show was conceived as a platform to address real-life challenges through the lens of faith, offering practical solutions. To accommodate the show’s growth, the studio relocated from Ukiah, CA to Sacramento.
Following a Covid-related filming hiatus, Love Your Life Ministries established its own studio.
Inspired by a board member’s experience in a Texas medical prison, the ministry launched “Adopt a Champion,” a prison ministry aimed at addressing the spiritual roots of inmates’ challenges and guiding them towards a fulfilling life in Christ.
Recognizing a broader need to empower individuals to fulfill their God-given potential, Barbara founded “Empower A Champion,” a training program designed to equip individuals to step into their God-given identity and leadership roles. This curriculum is utilized within Love Your Life Ministries, in prisons, and internationally (Zambia, the Netherlands, and the United States).
